Because God values children so highly, we are called to value them as well. Parents have the primary responsibility of discipleship, but they are not alone. We value the role children play in our community, and have the privilege to teach, love, and care for them as an extension and support of their parents’ work.

Time Commitment:
About once every 4-6 weeks
Sundays

Loving Learners (3-6 yo): 9:30a-12:00p
Roles:
1. Leader
• Must be a member of Apostles Church Uptown
• Responsible for teaching the lesson and generally leading the class
2. Assistant
• Helps direct games, crafts, and provides support to the leader

Beautiful Blessings (nursery): 10:15-12:00p


You will be able to participate in the first worship set before spending the rest of the service upstairs in the classroom.

What You Can Expect:
• To join a team that cares deeply about the spiritual  development and well-being of the children in our community
• To build relationships with the children and their families
• To form meaningful connections with the other volunteers through fellowship and prayer

Responsibilities:
Loving Learners:
• Review lesson plan beforehand (leader)
• Arrive an hour before the service
• Set up welcome table in the lobby
• Set up and tear down classrooms
• Stand at welcome table before service to help with sign-in

Beautiful Blessings:
• Arrive 10-15 minutes before the service
• Create a fun and safe environment in the classroom for babies and toddlers (playing with toys, reading books, singing songs, etc.)
 
Ideal Volunteer:
• Good with kids
• Enjoys teaching/discipling
